When the historic Danish brand, Fritz Hansen, decided to renovate its showroom in Milan, they commissioned Studiopepe for the interior design, to come up with a distinctive way to embellish the wall surfaces for a more decorative effect, but in keeping with the Brand’s characteristic purity of design. Studiopepe envisioned a single wall shared by all three floors of the showroom, made of plywood with a geometric pattern, inspired by the historic patterns of Arne Jacobsen, reinterpreted in a palette of cool colour tones. The white walls were painted dark teal, creating a more intimate and “furnished” atmosphere, helping the products to stand out, as well as the styling concept, which was exclusively designed ad hoc by the studio. The finishing touch was a capsule room, designed to house special projects, painted entirely in acid yellow, creating a landmark that was distinctive from the exterior as well.
